Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Location: Worcester with 2 days in the office

Salary: £55,000

This is a newly-created FP&A role within a growing Worcester-based business. It is a key position reporting to the Head of FP&A, working closely with the senior leadership team. The role involves providing high-quality financial reporting and analysis, as well as driving strategic initiatives. The employer offers flexibility with 3 days WFH per week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with senior leadership across various departments to understand their financial needs.
  2. Provide insights and recommendations based on in-depth financial analysis.
  3. Lead cross-functional meetings to discuss financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  4. Own the monthly reporting process for the Board.
  5. Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  6. Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  7. Support the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
  8. Identify areas for process improvements to enhance FP&A activities.
  9. Support projects and initiatives with high-quality financial analysis.
  10. Develop business cases for new investments.
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified accountant with proven experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience in producing complex financial analysis and reports.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Effective communicator capable of presenting complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to communicate finance matters to non-finance audiences.
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate opportunities and risks.
