Job description

Balance. All people want is a balance between the work they put in and the rewards they get out. At many firms, this isn't the case. You may not receive the clients or support you need, and unrealistic expectations may be placed on you. You work hard, but the rewards are often skewed towards the company. Here, we get the balance right. From the outset, you'll be clear about what you'll inherit and what you need to do. For this role, that means enough ongoing advice fees to cover your 3.5x salary validation. So, from day one, you know what you're walking into.

Your client bank will require servicing, which reduces the time available for developing new business. However, this existing client base offers opportunities for new business, both directly and through referrals. Inheriting clients from a retiring planner provides ample opportunity to expand your work with current clients. The firm also offers different services, allowing clients with less complex needs to be managed by other advisers, enabling you to focus on clients with ongoing needs.

As you grow and develop your book, you'll earn bonuses on increasing ongoing fees (15%). This rewards you immediately for new business and long-term for client retention.

In addition to a generous bonus, you'll receive a competitive starting salary based on your experience (£70,000 - £100,000).

Benefits include:

  • 25 days annual leave
  • A day off for your birthday
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • Life assurance
  • Health insurance

You will have support from paraplanners and administrators in your local office, allowing you to spend more time with clients rather than on paperwork.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: You should be a Level 4 adviser (preferably Chartered) with at least 5 years post-CAS experience. You must have the energy, determination, and ability to manage a sizable client portfolio and develop new business.
