Job description

Idex Consulting is working with an award-winning Financial Planning firm and is seeking a Senior Wealth Planner for their Edinburgh Office.

In this role, you will collaborate with a Chartered Financial Planner and a junior Financial Planner, providing advice and support, especially to the junior planner.

You will work with the senior leadership team to help shape the office and participate in major decisions.

You will manage an existing client book while also developing new business through professional connections.

You will act as a mentor to less experienced team members and support their ongoing development.

You will inherit a client bank of approximately 70 clients with a recurring revenue of around £240k.

You will be supported by a team of excellent administrators and paraplanners.

Responsibilities

Alongside senior responsibilities such as working with management as an adviser, your typical duties will include:

1. Contacting clients and arranging meetings, either in-office or at clients' homes or businesses.
2. Conducting detailed reviews of clients' financial situations, current provisions, and future goals.
3. Analyzing information and preparing tailored financial plans.
4. Completing risk assessments.
5. Researching the marketplace and informing clients about new and existing products and services.
6. Designing financial strategies.
7. Helping clients make informed decisions.
8. Researching information from various sources, including financial product providers.
9. Reviewing and adapting to clients' changing needs and circumstances.
10. Promoting and selling financial products to meet sales targets.
11. Negotiating with product suppliers for favorable rates.
12. Liaising with head office and financial service providers.
13. Staying updated on financial products and legislation.
14. Communicating with clients about new products or legislative changes affecting their investments.
15. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including disclosure and cost transparency.

You will regularly meet with clients, providing high-quality service and conducting meetings in line with company standards.

You will plan and work towards generating a pipeline that meets your business targets.

You will act in a compliant manner, delivering excellent customer service while adhering to FCA rules and regulations.
