Role Purpose:

Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Group, seeks a Senior Financial Lines Claims Adjuster to join our Claims Team in London. Reporting to the Financial Lines Claims Manager, this role involves handling, investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex claims related to Financial Institutions, Management Liability (including Directors & Officers), Professional Indemnity, Warranty & Indemnity underwritten from the UK on our Syndicate and Company platforms. The candidate will oversee external experts, contribute to underwriting discussions, and participate in client and broker meetings. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with two remote days per week.

Key Accountabilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis of complex coverage issues and prepare coverage letters.
• Investigate and evaluate liabilities, damages, and costs.
• Manage external experts including adjusters and lawyers.
• Prepare case summaries and reserve assessments for significant claims.
• Develop and implement claim and resolution strategies.
• Negotiate and resolve claims efficiently.
• Oversee Third Party Administrators (TPAs).
• Collaborate with underwriters on policy construction, claim trends, and risk assessments.
• Participate in claim reviews, audits, and stewardship meetings.
• Engage with insureds, brokers, reinsurers, actuaries, and underwriters.
• Support client retention through meetings and industry events.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• Extensive claims handling or legal experience in Financial Lines.
• ACII qualification, legal background, or relevant degree preferred.
• Experience with global insurance companies and multiple markets.
• Familiarity with London Market claims systems (ECF, IMR, Trax, etc.).
• Deep understanding of Financial Lines and Cyber coverage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, and investigative skills.
• Strategic thinking, self-organization, and influence skills.
• Knowledge of litigation, arbitration, and trial processes.
• Ability to use data and metrics for claims management.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work cross-functionally.
• Comfort in presenting to senior management and groups.
• Understanding of the insurance industry, claims processes, and legal/regulatory environment.
