Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Lead Financial Insights Analyst to join our Propositions Finance Team to support performance insights, data modelling and reporting across our Food retail business.

In this role you will partner with finance business partners and the propositions/commercial team to identify opportunities or risks, incorporate them into forecasts, budgets and strategic plans, and help drive informed decisions that improve performance.

Qualifications

• An accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or in the final stages of working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Use commercial insight and data modelling to provide value analysis for performance improvement.
• Deliver detailed and accurate reports, financial plans and insightful analysis with business leaders.
• Embed risks and opportunities into forecasts with clear financial impacts.
• Provide reconciliation and variance analysis across business areas weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly.
• Support leadership communication to enable well-informed decisions and tell the performance story.
• Offer trial analyses and support for key projects and test/learn analyses.
• Monitor new techniques to improve insights and report on external market changes.
