My client is seeking a Finance Manager with expertise in Pensions Accounts. You will support the Head of Pension Risk by managing activities related to the operation, financial management, reporting, and risk management of the company's defined benefit pension scheme.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review and enhance the pensions control framework to meet audit expectations.
  • Review and improve pensions models for audit compliance.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of pension accounting and risk information, including disclosures for the annual report.
  • Assist the Director of Pensions and Head of Pension Risk in preparing documentation and attending statutory and non-statutory meetings such as Pension Risk Forum, Pensions Committee, ALCO, and CF Trustee meetings.
  • Prepare pension information for strategic planning, including P21, ICAAP, and stress testing.
  • Assist in preparing the scheme cost budget and monitor actuals against it.
  • Coordinate with professional advisors on actuarial valuations and audits.
  • Oversee the annual review of actuarial assumptions and recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, capital management, trustees, and risk teams.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's forward-looking business plans for the pension schemes.
