Job summary

RK Accountancy’s client in Altrincham is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee monthly management accounts, strengthen financial controls, and support strategic decision making across the manufacturing business.

You will partner with operational leaders to drive profitability, coordinate reporting timetables, and manage budgeting and forecasting within a professional team.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK manufacturing finance management.
• Solid background in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly management accounts production and first-line review.
• Explain variances to Budget and discuss remedial actions.
• Embed balance sheet reconciliations and monthly closing procedures.
• Lead budgeting and reforecasting aligned with strategic goals.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Provide monthly production efficiency and stock movement assessments.
• Liaise with external auditors for compliant reporting.
• Prepare content for monthly KPI meetings with the board.
• Manage credit control and cashflow duties.
