DESCRIPTION

Global RME Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Central Finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys optimizing operational excellence through a strategic lens to mitigate future risk. RME Senior Financial Analysts share ownership over all things cost when it comes to providing network FP&A support (MEC, Controllership and Operational Planning Cycles) and strategic cost out validation and tracking for the Global RME Central team.

The ability to learn and be curious while working through ambiguity in order to think big while inventing and simplifying for process improvement is mission critical. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a large organization.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling.
  2. Work cross-functionally with business partners to determine opportunities for cost reduction.
  3. Contribute to business decisions by providing insightful analysis and methodical consideration for the end-to-end impact to systems, financial controls and ongoing support requirements.
  4. Identify opportunities and drive automation in existing manual processes.
  5. Facilitate financial review meetings with cross-functional teams and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
  6. Manage the annual financial planning & analysis and quarterly budgeting exercise accurately, completely and in a timely basis.
  7. Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives.
  8. Facilitate the Business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items.
  9. Leverage internal systems to deep dive financial and productivity results to drive action (QuickSight, PowerBI, SQL, PAX, Cognos, CAMP).

A day in the life

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities: they influence business owners, effectively lead meetings with senior leaders, support thoughtful decision-making through data, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. This individual will also play a key role in decision making and developing financial insights as part of monthly and quarterly business reviews. This individual is able to drive network scale initiatives, enforce standard work, review and action purchase requests, develop and lead cost business reviews, and provide ad-hoc analysis on large or ambiguous tasks.

About the team

The team supports the Global RME Central Team, along with NA, EU and ROW field RME across NACF, ATS and GDS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A degree.
  2. Relevant experience in a finance role leading a project or programme and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business.
  3. Relevant experience working with Excel, reporting tools and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau.
  4. Relevant experience in financial modelling.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A bachelor's degree in finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
  2. Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges.
  3. Experience of working in a large team or fast-paced, corporate environment.
  4. Experience of making strategic business decisions and managing internal relationships.
