Job Summary

Canary Wharf Group’s Property Management Services (PMS) employs approximately 600 staff and manages operations across the Canary Wharf, Wood Wharf, and South Bank estates, with revenues exceeding £150m. The business includes:

  • Commercial building and estate services
  • Residential building services
  • Tenant services (facilities management and utilities)
  • Utilities and telecoms services

The role covers both commercial and financial accounting, overseeing energy companies providing heating and cooling, tenant services, and other facilities management aspects. It ensures accurate, timely reporting and billing, working closely with the Financial Controller and other stakeholders.

Salary: approximately £75,000

Work arrangement: 4 days in office / 1 WFH

Contract: 1-year FTC (covering until end of January 2027)

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensure robustness and timeliness of financial information for energy and tenant services companies.
  2. Lead quarterly close processes for reporting to management and finance groups.
  3. Ensure billing accuracy and reconciliation with financial ledgers.
  4. Maintain controls and processes for reliable financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  5. Develop internal management reports for business performance analysis.
  6. Manage a property accountant, including performance and development.
  7. Coordinate with external agents on tenant billing.
  8. Collaborate with operational management on performance review and budgeting.
  9. Contribute to finance system improvements for efficiency and automation.
  10. Deliver annual financial statements and liaise with auditors.
  11. Handle other finance tasks, including tenant queries.
