Job summary

This is a Senior Financial Accountant role with Government Recruitment Service in Bristol. You will join a high-performing finance team at the heart of DVSA, delivering expert financial accounting, robust governance and sound decision support.

You will lead on IFRS/FReM compliance, consolidate reporting with the DfT and maintain ledger controls and asset registers, while developing people and processes across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of the DVSA Annual Report and Accounts.
• Lead the preparation and submission of financial reporting returns for consolidation into DfT accounts at interim and year-end.
• Regular maintenance of ledger controls and balance sheet accounts.
• Participate in the monthly reporting cycle with controlled expenditure and accurate forecasts.
• Provide lead authority on IFRS/FReM and assess impacts of changes on the accounts.
• Manage and maintain fixed asset records and asset registers.
