Charles River is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Global Finance Department in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite presence 1-2 days a week.

You will own the monthly close, prepare journal entries, review balance sheet and income statement accounts, and produce statutory accounts and tax packs in line with US GAAP and company policies. A strong team player with problem-solving skills is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• CPA, CIMA, or CA qualification preferred (full/part qualified).
• Significant accounting experience in a global organisation with sites/teams.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with Accounting Software (Blackline) and SAP (BPC/SAC).
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills; strong communication.
• Attention to detail; ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Own the execution of the accounting close for nominated entities, ensuring accurate and timely data.
• Prepare or review monthly journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Deliver local statutory accounts, VAT filings, tax returns and related documents.
• Support SOX controls, documentation, testing and audits for nominated entities.
• Provide financial analysis to aid management decisions and forecasting.
