Hyra in Havant is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead the preparation and review of year-end accounts, support audits, and ensure statutory compliance. The role also oversees financial reporting, budgeting, and control accounts while guiding a team of Assistant Accountants.

You will drive improvements in financial procedures, provide strategic insights for major decisions, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation and review of year-end accounts, supporting audit processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, including budget planning and control account management.
• Managing a team of Assistant Accountants to uphold transactional finance duties, ensuring timely reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
• Ensuring accurate and timely submission of statutory and statistical returns.
• Developing and refining financial procedures and practices, providing strategic financial insights for key organisational decisions.
