As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will manage the timely and accurate allocation of costs across the business. You will oversee the journal accuracy, balance sheet reconciliations, and responds to audit queries while leading a team of assistant accountants. Additionally, the role supports continuous process improvements and automation initiatives within the Group Finance team. What you'll do:
- Manage the costing process for Group purchases to ensure accurate cost allocation and audit readiness
- Liaise with external Group suppliers and internal colleagues (IT and HR etc) to ensure that financial information received is accurate and results in timely allocation of costs
- Oversee the inputting and technical review of journals for both general and project ledgers ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the delivery of the intercompany recharge process and query management
- Handle internal, external, and client audit queries related to journals, cost allocations, recharge transactions, and walkthroughs providing timely and accurate responses
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely and accurately and support activity requires to close out issues and maintain ledger integrity
- Evaluate and assist in interpreting and implementing accounting policies within team processes to maintain compliance with IFRS
- Manage and develop a team of assistant accountants fostering an engaged, skilled, and high-performing work environment
- Support Group Finance manager - Accounting in driving continuous process improvement and automation initiatives
Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with strong technical knowledge - Experience leading and developing teams
- ERP experience, preferably Oracle Fusion
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and validation skills
- Track record in process improvement and automation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power Query skills
