About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant will act with integrity ensuring accurate accounting and reporting results on a monthly and annual basis.

The Senior Financial Accountant is primarily responsible for preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations. This position will also provide assistance with month-end closing responsibilities, data collection and preparation of monthly metrics.

The role is ideally suited to someone keen to expand their SaaS knowledge and overall business experience in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The company is also upgrading financial and operational systems so a great opportunity exists to expand systems experience.
Main Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis to support management decision making
2. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial accounts including duties ranging from prepayment / PO accrual posting, loan interest posting, GL account variance analysis etc
3. Provide financial insight and analysis to stakeholders across the business
4. Prepare financial reporting to various stakeholders on a timely basis
5. Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
6. Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function liaising with other functions in the finance department
7. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
9. Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria

1. Chartered accountant qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
2. Experience in financial reporting and analysis
3. Experience with accounting software and financial systems
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
6. 1+ years of industry experience

Desirable Criteria

1. Experience in a similar role in a technology or software company
2. Experience with SAP / SAGE accounting software
