  • Day rate interim role for 4-6 months to cover a permanent appointment

Job Description



The Senior Financial Accountant will:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Conduct variance analysis and report on key performance indicators
  • Manage fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation calculations
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve financial processes
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Financial Accountant:

  • (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience - GROUP ACCOUNT exposure needed
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Experience with lean accounting principles would be advantageous
