Job Description
The Senior Financial Accountant will:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Conduct variance analysis and report on key performance indicators
- Manage fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation calculations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Collaborate with various departments to improve financial processes
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
The Successful Applicant
The Senior Financial Accountant:
- (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience - GROUP ACCOUNT exposure needed
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Experience with lean accounting principles would be advantageous
