Key responsibilities:

1. Month-end and year-end close tasks.
2. Monthly/quarterly accounting and reconciliations of your responsible entities.
3. Review of multi-currency payroll and preparation of monthly journals.
4. Follow accounting treatments to ensure compliance with the latest statutory requirements and accounting guidance.
5. Assist with the annual group audit and local audits.
6. Processing bank payments.
7. Ad hoc tasks as assigned including participation in Finance projects.
8. Maintain and enhance reconciliation processes, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of financial records.
9. Prepare the regional annual statutory accounts accurately under the relevant GAAP.
10. Ensure any differences in local GAAP and Group GAAP are tracked in control manner.
11. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve financial systems.
12. Support and lead automation initiatives, including system enhancements to reduce manual tasks and increase data accuracy.
13. Act as a subject matter expert, offering training and support on complex accounting issues.
14. Support the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
15. Provide insights and support to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local regulations.

About you

Fully or part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with five-year experience in Accountant role. You had exposure to a multi-currency environment in a global business. The ideal will also demonstrate:

1. Proven ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and effectively handling complex situations with minimal guidance.
2. A track record of success in managing workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
3. Strong accounting knowledge with substantial experience in statutory financial reporting and audit.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and a clear ability to prioritise and balance a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
5. Proficiency in Excel, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of its tools and functions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
