Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to work with our global FMCG client Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as V05, TIGI, Timotei, and Impulse, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Holborn, London. This is a full-time temporary role until 31st Dec 2025, requiring 37.5 hours per week, to start ASAP, Monday-Friday. Compensation ranges between £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, pro-rata, depending on experience.

There will be a requirement to work onsite 2-3 days per week for as long as the business permits. The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to join our Controlling team during a critical phase of transformation and system implementation. This role will support the UK and French teams by managing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency, and driving stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stakeholder management, dual ERP systems, and hands-on financial controlling within a fast-paced FMCG retail environment across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained, supporting other business transformation projects.
  2. Prepare detailed commentary on P&L reviews monthly on specific cost buckets.
  3. Lead the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion. Prepare reconciliations for payroll, fixed assets, general accruals, and prepayments.
  4. Manage the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including additions, disposals, depreciation recalculations, ensuring FAR schedules reconcile with the general ledger.
  5. Oversee Accounts Payable activities, including monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts, PO creation, and receipting.
  6. Assist with bank account reconciliations covering Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll bank accounts.
  7. Review and improve financial processes to ensure robust internal control systems. Develop and maintain documentation to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  8. Work effectively across two ERP systems—Oracle Cloud Fusion and Microsoft Business Central. Analyze financial data from third-party outsourcing partners to ensure integration and transparency.
  9. Submit the monthly Debtor Scorecard with detailed analysis to the FP&A team.
  10. Perform ad hoc financial analysis, including contractor costs and distribution costs.
  11. Participate in year-end audits, liaising with auditors and providing required documentation.
  12. Collaborate closely with the Regional Financial Controller on ad hoc requests.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
  • Proven finance controlling experience in FMCG or retail sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-regional communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple ERP systems, especially Oracle Cloud Fusion and Microsoft Business Central.
  • Solid knowledge of Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience leading reconciliation and review processes with team management or coordination skills.
  • Background supporting transformation projects and system implementations.
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail and ability to deliver insightful financial commentary.
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in process review and documentation, with a focus on internal control improvements.
  • High integrity and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial data.
  • Collaborative and culturally aware, capable of working across multiple regions and functions.
