Job summary

Resourcery Group in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-profile finance team in a hybrid role. You will report to the Financial Controller and work with senior leadership to enhance financial reporting.

Key duties include group consolidation, statutory accounts, supporting audits, IFRS/UK GAAP compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, and budgeting support. ACA or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Strong technical accounting background and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation reports across multiple legal entities.
• Produce financial accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Support year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure IFRS and UK GAAP reporting compliance.
• Review and reconcile inter-company balances and transactions.
• Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations and technical accounting papers.
• Assist with annual reports and financial disclosures.
• Support acquisition accounting and integration of new entities into the group.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes, controls, and systems.
• Partner with finance teams to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Senior Financial Accountant Liverpool £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus

An excellent opportunity to join a successful, Liverpool head-quartered business in a high profile role with planned progression over the next 12-18 months. Our client is a market leading brand with an excellent reputation. You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and senior leadership group in this visible role.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, The Senior Financial Accountant be a key figure in improving financial reporting standards across this large Liverpool based business which will also allow you to gain broader, commercial responsibilities.

Main duties will include;
