  • About the role

    As the Senior Financial Accountant will lead the Transactions & Control Team. You will ensure that Achieving forChildren has effective financial procedures to deliver its key priorities and drive the continual improvement of services. You will support the Chief Accountant with regard to final accounts production, VAT and other tax advice inc.associated statutory and Government returns, treasury management / bank control, insurance and reporting to thevarious governance boards. You will be responsible for ensuring accounts payable, receivable and control functionsare performed to a high standard across the organisation.

    In liaison with the Chief Accountant you will also have responsibility for ensuring:

  • strong financialmanagement
  • compliance with the company financial governance framework
  • effective financial controls
  • mechanisms for the management and mitigation of risk
  • About you

    The successful candidate for this role will:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • Lead the Transactions & Control Team to produce IFRS-compliant Financial Statements and manage the external audit process.
  • Provide comprehensive financial and management accounting services, including tax returns and treasury management.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and control functions to ensure timely and accurate transactions processing
  • Deliver monthly management accounting for Business Services, including performance reviews and forecasting.
  • Ensure financial health through strong controls and systems, providing financial advice to various levels of the organisation.
