The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing retail business based in Leicester, is seeking an ambitious Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside the Finance Director and contribute to board-level reporting whilst taking ownership of critical financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Excellence:

  • Lead the annual audit process, acting as primary liaison with external auditors
  • Prepare comprehensive statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Drive technical reporting initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Produce accurate and timely financial accounts for management and stakeholder reporting

Strategic Involvement:

  • Present financial insights and analysis directly to board members
  • Support the Finance Director in strategic decision-making processes
  • Contribute to business planning and forecasting activities
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes
