Overview

Oliver James are currently supporting one of our clients who are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis as they continue with their trajectory of rapid growth.

What we are looking for
  • Experienced qualified accountants (4-6 years PQE).
  • Insurance sector experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of UK GAAP (Direct involvement/practical experience).
  • The ability to analyse numbers/data to a high standard and articulate your findings to senior leaders.
  • Mindset: Someone who can see the vision of the company and happy to get involved with several duties for the overall success of the business.
  • The ability to think on your feet in regards to quick decision making and using initiative.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Financial Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting across two entities.
  • Work on ad hoc projects for process improvement and efficiency in relation to accounting and reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements under UK GAAP/FRS 102.
  • Manage all journal entries and liaise with numerous departments to document numbers/data correctly.
  • Work with tax professionals and assist with VAT returns.
