Job summary

Chase & Holland is recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Head Office finance team in Chesterfield. The role offers exposure to financial and statutory reporting, cash flow management and treasury, and international operations within a project-led environment.

You will work closely with the Financial Director and senior leadership, delivering insightful analysis, improving controls and processes, and supporting ERP and reporting systems implementation (Sage Intacct).

Qualifications

• Solid experience within a Financial Accounting focused role.
• Qualified or later stages PQ Accountant ACCA, ACA/ ICAEW or CIMA.
• Experience of statutory reporting, audit, financial controls and compliance.
• Financial analysis capabilities and experience improving processes, controls and reporting.
• Exposure to international entities and international tax/compliance would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
• IT literate including Excel and ideally Sage

Responsibilities

• Manage Group cash flow, liquidity and treasury requirements, including cash forecasting and banking relationships.
• Develop financial models to assist with business planning, major projects and funding decisions.
• Produce and review Group balance sheets, financial analysis, budgets and forecasts.
• Support payroll process alongside the Management Accountant.
• Provide financial oversight on operational projects including project costing and expenditure commitments.
• Coordinate statutory audits across UK and overseas entities and liaise with external auditors.
• Support Group tax and financial compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams on pricing, costing, margins and variance analysis.
• Act as a finance business partner to senior leadership with insight and challenge.
• Drive improvements to finance and purchasing processes and ERP/reporting systems (Sage Intacct).

Senior Financial Accountant - Chesterfield - Up to £60,000

Chase & Holland are thrilled to be working with an established and successful organisation with a strong UK presence, alongside international operations. Operating within a specialist, project-led environment, this established business is looking to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Head Office finance team and support its continued development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to step into a broad and commercially focused Senior Financial Accountant role within an established international organisation. Working closely with the Financial Director and senior leadership team, you'll gain exposure across financial and statutory reporting, cash flow and treasury, international operations, commercial finance, compliance and systems improvement, while providing valuable insight to support wider business decisions. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to go beyond traditional financial accounting, get closer to operations and make a genuine impact across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing Group cash flow, liquidity and treasury requirements, including cash forecasting, funding requirements and banking relationships
• Supporting the development of financial models to assist with business planning, major projects, capital requirements and funding decisions
• Producing and reviewing Group balance sheets, financial analysis, budgets and forecasts.
• Supporting the payroll process alongside the Management Accountant
• Providing financial oversight on significant operational projects, including project costing, mobilisation, logistics and major expenditure commitments
• Supporting the preparation of Group statutory accounts and coordinating statutory audits across UK and overseas entities
• Taking an active role in audit planning and working closely with external auditors and overseas advisers
• Supporting Group tax and financial compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including VAT, corporation tax and payroll-related matters
• Partnering with operational and commercial teams across pricing, project costing, margin and variance analysis
• Acting as a key finance business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insight, challenge and practical support
• Driving improvements across finance and purchasing processes and supporting the continued development of ERP and reporting systems, including Sage Intacct

Ideally, you will have:
