Resourcery Group in Chester is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-profile, fast-moving team. You will report to the Financial Controller and help drive improved reporting standards across a large group.

You will consolidate group reports, manage statutory accounts, and support audits while ensuring IFRS and UK GAAP compliance. The role offers hybrid working and clear progression over 12–18 months.

Qualifications

• ACA preferred.
• Strong technical background.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation reports across multiple legal entities.
• Produce Financial Accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Support the year-end audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements.
• Review and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
• Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations and technical accounting papers.
• Support the preparation of annual reports and financial disclosures.
• Assist with acquisition accounting and integration of new entities into the group structure.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes, controls, and systems.
• Partner with finance teams across the business to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

An excellent opportunity to join a successful, Chester headquartered business in a high profile role with planned progression over the next 12-18 months. Our client is a market leading brand with an excellent reputation. You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and senior leadership group in this visible role.
