Interaction Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be representing a well established and growing business in their search for a Senior Financial Accountant, working on a hybrid basis from their offices near Loughborough, Leicestershire.

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, you will hold a very important role within the team to support the continued growth of the business. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for completing routine accounting tasks, taking ownership of month end processes, coaching and supporting more junior staff members and other adhoc projects.

Typical duties include:

Preparation and finalisation of the monthly accounts, compliant to both group reporting GAAP

Preparing UK statutory accounting statements file to pass on to auditors

Leading on co-ordinating for the external audit

Maintain strong balance sheet control

Working closely with the FP&A team to perform monthly P&L Analysis

Ensure monthly postings are maintained and processes documented for SOX and internal auditing requirements

Build and maintain relationships with external parties, such as tax advisors and auditors

Maintaining the fixed asset register

Reviewing intercompany account reconciliations on a monthly basis

Support with process improvements

Other duties to support the team

Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:

Part qualified or qualified ACCA or CIMA

Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Strong attention to detail is required, along with the ability to manage deadlines

Experience of using ERP systems is essential (experience of JDE would be advantageous)

IT Literate - advanced Excel skills would be required
