Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Finance Systems and Ledger Senior post to support the Systems, Reporting and Subsidiary Accountant. You will help maintain finance systems, ledger integrity, and master data to enhance accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

You will also assist with monthly statutory returns, internal reporting to the Board, budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and financial modelling for the Trust and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse issues and exercise sound judgement in resolving financial problems.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to work with complex systems.
• Ability to plan workload delivery and liaise with staff to ensure timely input.
• Ability to perform ledger checks and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop finance systems and master data for accurate reporting.
• Close the accounts receivable application monthly and post to the general ledger.
• Deliver financial systems training to finance and non-finance managers.
• Support monthly statutory returns and internal reporting to the Board.
• Produce cash flow forecasts and monthly budgeting / forecasting templates.
• Reconcile control accounts and monitor group/ subsidiary transactions.
• Support governance, budgeting, and financial modelling for the Trust and subsidiaries.
