Job description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to build a career in financial services?

Who?

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and get involved in innovative projects which will lead to digital and service improvements.

  • You will be AAT qualified or working towards a CCAB accountancy qualification (or qualified by experience)
  • You will have experience of preparing management accounts, forecasts, budgets and final accounts, preferably in a local authority.
  • You will need good interpersonal skills, experience of working with computerised financial information systems and excellent communication skills.
What will you be doing?
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly budget monitoring forecasts and annual budget setting.
  • Assist with preparing grant claims and government returns.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Council’s annual accounts.
  • Undertake a number of key reconciliations.
  • Support the Principal Accountants and Financial Services Manager in other areas such as treasury management, collection fund accounting and system administration.
