Job summary

London Borough of Tower Hamlets is recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join the HRA Finance Team within Resources. The role focuses on delivering high-quality financial management to support housing services and positive outcomes for residents.

You will monitor budgets, assist with management accounts, reconciliations and year-end closing, and build strong relationships with Housing Services to provide financial guidance on systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • AAT qualification or part-qualified CCAB status/Finance degree.
  • Knowledge of local government finance, ideally within Housing Revenue Account (HRA) services.
  • Experience of budget monitoring, financial reporting, preparing journals, and management accounting.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.

About The Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer to join our HRA Finance Team within Resources.

In this role, you will:



  • Support budget monitoring and forecasting.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
