Job summary

Tower Hamlets Homes Ltd is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join the HRA Finance Team within Resources. You will support budget monitoring and forecasting while advising Housing Services on financial systems and processes.

You will assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial reconciliations, variance analysis, journals and year-end closing activities, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across Housing Services.

Qualifications

  • AAT qualification or part-qualified CCAB status/finance degree required.
  • Knowledge of local government finance, ideally within HRA services.
  • Experience in budget monitoring, financial reporting, journals and management accounting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders.

About The Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer to join our HRA Finance Team within Resources.

In this role, you will:

  • Support budget monitoring and forecasting.

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial reconciliations, variance analysis, journals and year-end closing activities.

  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Housing Services, providing financial support, and guidance on financial systems and processes.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • AAT qualification or part-qualified CCAB status/Finance degree

  • Knowledge of local government finance, ideally within Housing Revenue Account (HRA) services.

  • Experience of budget monitoring, financial reporting, preparing journals, and management accounting.

  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
