Senior Finance Manager (Interim) - £400-£500/day (Umbrella) | Immediate Start | Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract length: 5 months

We're partnering with a global organisation in the travel and transport sector to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager (Interim) to support their Manchester-based finance team. This is a key hire to cover a 5-month paternity leave, offering excellent exposure across global operations.

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 5 months
Day Rate: £400-£500/day (via umbrella)
Start Date: Immediate (10th April)

The Role:
You'll lead month-end reporting for the transport division, manage key compliance activities (including SOX, tax and statutory filings), and support audit processes. With 3 direct reports and regular collaboration across global finance teams, you'll play a central role in maintaining high standards of financial control and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the timely and accurate month-end reporting process
  • Review key journals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Lead on compliance matters including tax and SOX requirements
  • Manage and support a small finance team (3 direct reports)
  • Collaborate across global finance functions and technical accounting teams
  • Drive process improvements and support audit readiness

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • 5+ years post-qualified experience in financial/management reporting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in large or global organisations preferred
  • SAP and VAT/Corporation Tax experience is a bonus, but not essential
