Job summary

Agora Talent is recruiting a Senior Finance Manager – Corporate Support for a large consumer business in the United Kingdom on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role leads a team, owns technical accounting across IFRS, store estate accounting, balance sheet governance and statutory reporting, and drives robust financial controls.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, deliver accurate guidance, and push automation with Excel/Alteryx to improve reporting.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification or equivalent.
• Significant post-qualified experience in a large, complex business.
• Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge.
• Experience in property / store estate accounting.
• Exposure to impairments, DCF modelling, lease accounting and accounting judgements.
• Strong background in balance sheet control, statutory reporting and governance.
• Proven people leadership and coaching capability.
• Advanced Excel skills, with Alteryx or similar automation tools highly desirable.
• The ability to translate technical accounting issues into practical business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of qualified and part-qualified finance professionals
• Owning technical accounting advice and judgement across retail, property and wider group activity
• Leading store estate accounting, including lease events, store closures, impairments, onerous contracts and provisions
• Taking ownership of balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting and financial controls
• Supporting robust governance, audit readiness and high-quality financial outcomes
• Partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders to provide clear accounting guidance
• Driving automation, process improvement and scalable reporting solutions using tools such as Alteryx and Excel
