Senior Finance Manager – Group Financial Reporting

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Group Financial Reporting, this is a high-profile leadership role responsible for the delivery of the Group’s:
- Annual Report and Accounts
- Half-year and interim reporting
- Statutory accounts across multiple legal entities
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, compliant and insightful reporting aligned to IFRS Foundation standards and UK regulatory requirements, while also leading the organisation’s response to expanding sustainability and non-financial reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Statutory Compliance
- Lead preparation and presentation of the Group Annual Report & Accounts and interim statements in compliance with IFRS and UK regulatory requirements.
- Oversee end-to-end statutory reporting for subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with local statutory requirements and Group policies.
- Ensure consolidation and elimination processes are robust and fit for purpose.
- Partner with local finance teams, Company Secretariat and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Support implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Non-Financial & Sustainability Reporting
- Own the non-financial reporting agenda, including sustainability metrics and carbon disclosures.
- Lead implementation of emerging frameworks including:
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
- IFRS S1 and IFRS S2
- Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations
- Develop frameworks for ESG measurement and reporting, working cross-functionally with Sustainability, Legal and wider Finance teams.
- Ensure externally published non-financial data is robust, validated and audit-ready.
Audit & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with external auditors.
- Support Audit Committee reporting and board-level engagement.
- Collaborate closely with Tax, Treasury, Technical Accounting and Investor Relations teams.
Leadership
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing team, fostering continuous improvement, accountability and professional growth.
About You
- Strong IFRS and statutory reporting expertise within a large listed environment or large fast paced multinational
- Technically strong with sound accounting judgement and the ability to interpret complexity.
- Experience managing subsidiary statutory accounts across multiple entities.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and external auditors.
- Controls-focused, ideally with experience in a regulated or monitored control framework.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainability or non-financial reporting frameworks.
- A proactive, intellectually curious leader who thrives in evolving regulatory environments.
