Overview
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, the Senior Finance Manager – FP&A is responsible for leading budgeting and forecasting for SDS Group, covering operating expenses, capital spend, and headcount. This role manages the global FP&A timetable and ensures high-quality analysis and timely outputs. Collaboration with the SDS Commercial Finance and Las Vegas Sands Corporate Finance teams is essential to drive consistency in financial reporting and develop best-in-class processes and data-driven analysis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes globally, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely distribution of finance deliverables and reports, including monthly P&L summaries, board reports, and key business indicators.
- Develop and improve FP&A processes to ensure consistent reporting and deliverables worldwide.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across multiple time zones and work collaboratively across functions.
- Recommend and implement improvements to financial procedures and controls, tracking progress to completion.
- Perform financial analyses of projects and business cases, creating complex data models and analytical outputs per department standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships fostering a culture of respect, discipline, teamwork, compliance, and control.
- Provide oversight, identify potential issues, and resolve conflicts to prevent delays.
- Develop ad-hoc analyses based on business needs and challenges.
- Support ad-hoc requests and lead projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Desired Attributes
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
- 6+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently, managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, providing clarity and guiding decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail and deep understanding of financial metrics.
- Experience maintaining a robust financial control environment across a global organization.
- Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Adaptive, IBM Planning Analytics, BI tools).
- Excellent analytical skills, with experience in analysis, insight delivery, and recommendation formulation.
- Effective communication skills, with experience in business partnering or client relationship management.
