The team operates across diverse market segments including residential & business supply, nuclear, renewable & thermal generation, and storage & flexible energy.
Description
- Drive financial performance by partnering with the Wholesale Market Services business to maximize Gross Margin and manage Operating Expenditure.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, delivering expert analysis, insightful reporting, and robust financial challenge to support strategic decision-making and EBITDA growth.
- Ensure accuracy of monthly forecasts, actuals, and balance sheet transactions for Gross Margin and Opex, fostering a culture of continuous improvement using technologies like Robotics and AI.
- Develop the annual four-year medium-term plan, build relationships with senior leaders, and act as a trusted advisor to the WMS Director and Senior Leadership Team. Operate autonomously, influencing and challenging at a senior level to shape strategy and success.
Profile
- Proven experience leading a high-performing Finance Business Partnering team.
- Ability to interpret financial impacts of complex industry changes.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Qualified accountant.
- Extensive exposure to the power generation/energy industry.
