Job Description:

Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Senior Manager to collaborate with our international team to plan and execute the organization’s financial strategy, ensure a timely and accurate close process, assist in establishing international subsidiaries, drive business process improvements and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, international senior manager. This position could be based anywhere in EMEA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee accounting of local entities including month, quarter and year end reporting
  • Manage international statutory audits and financial statements
  • Manager external auditors of local entities
  • Partner with the Shockwave Santa Clara finance team to review monthly and quarterly financial results, variances and metric
  • Support the Shockwave Santa Clara tax team on transfer pricing, VAT implications of EMEA entities
  • Manage the accounts payable, general ledger, VAT, and accounts receivable functions of local entities
  • Manage day to day regional P&L’s and reporting activities
  • Ensure compliance with the HQ accounting and operational policies
  • Ensure internal controls are in place and financials are successfully audited
  • Ensure operational key metrics are DSO, DPO, timely filing of tax filings are met
  • Lead multinational team (3 direct, 2 indirect reports)

Requirements

  • Multi-year experience as Finance Senior Manager in an international setting
  • In depth knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX404
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • Oracle Cloud experience, a plus
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

Fluent spoken and written language skills in English
