Job summary

Selfridges is seeking a Senior Finance Manager (Costs) to lead a finance team and partner with senior stakeholders across the business. The role focuses on delivering robust governance, insightful financial planning and strategic cost management.

You will drive monthly management accounts, balance sheet accuracy and forward-looking planning while developing your team and maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration within the Finance Team.

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant with international equivalent.
Significant post-qualification experience in senior finance roles.
Proven experience managing and developing a finance team.
Strong business partnering experience at senior level in a complex environment.
Experience driving process improvements within a finance function.
Excellent financial modelling, planning and analytical skills; ability to tell a cohesive story across data.
Experience with financial systems and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

Act as senior finance partner to leadership stakeholders, providing commercial guidance and KPI oversight.
Lead on major business cases and investments with integrated analysis.
Oversee monthly management accounts for your team with accuracy and timeliness.
Review balance sheets and drive improvements for audit readiness and efficiency.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, aligning with top-down targets.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and reporting.
Develop and coach the team, ensuring succession planning and growth.
Support the Head of Finance in shaping team strategy and ways of working.
Represent Finance in senior forums and cross-functional meetings.
Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
