Qualifications

  • Prior PC market or consumer technology experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Windows + Devices division plays a vital role in ensuring Microsoft's continued success in the era of artificial intelligence. Within that division, Consumer Channel Sales works across the Windows + Devices product stack (Windows, Surface, M365) and partners with internal stakeholders and external retail partners to delight consumers and maximize mutual business results (revenue, margin, market share), maintaining the highest ethical, compliance, and security standards throughout. With the advent of Copilot + PCs and Neural Processing Unit (NPU), the world of personal computing will never be the same.

Finance at Microsoft interfaces across a broad intersection of business partners including Engineering, Marketing, Category Management, Sales, Data Science, Investments, Pricing/Deals, and Supply Chain teams. The Windows and Devices Finance Team comprises teams covering aspects of Sales, Revenue, Investments, Competition, and Gross Margin for our various products & services.

Responsibilities:
  1. Performance management: Partner with business stakeholders to drive unit, revenue, gross margin, and market share targets. Be an influential finance partner using data-driven analytics and deep business/competitive understanding to distill actionable insights. Drive accountability through focus on key business drivers, understanding of past results, future trends, and implications versus targets.
  2. Investment Optimization: Develop and implement investment frameworks to ensure investments are managed in line with strategy, ROI, partner commitments, and are coordinated to optimize strategic outcomes. Bring agility and thought leadership on how we can rebalance/expand investment in response to market and business opportunities.
  3. Financial Planning: Own forecast and outlook processes for the businesses you support. Drive forecast accuracy, regional stakeholder alignment, and clear feedback loops with global teams. Use data to verify business projections, ensure consistency, and communicate complex, data-driven recommendations. Facilitate consensus on investment strategies and remediation plans.
  4. Growth & Transformation: Contribute to ideation on growth opportunities. Lead financial modeling and investment design within strategic and financial parameters. Partner with business to understand market dynamics and channel economics.
  5. Finance Processes and Accountabilities: Oversee and improve the close process, providing predictability and transparency through financial storytelling. Enhance efficiency through AI, automation, and process excellence. Foster a culture of compliance in all interactions.
  6. Community: Actively participate in the WW Consumer Controller community. Collaborate with regional and WW peers to innovate, share insights, and address common opportunities.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance, or related field
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance, or related field
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior PC market and/or consumer technology experience is highly desirable.
  • Mastery of complex analytics & modeling with ability to distill critical insights & decision points.
  • Strong process management skills—able to synthesize & simplify multiple deliverables into concise, logical workflows.

This role requires onsite presence 3-4 days a week.
