Opportunity Overview

We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Data and Finance Professional to spearhead a groundbreaking data transformation initiative. You will lead on behalf of the Consumer Finance team as Virgin Media O2 rolls out new data-driven reporting and planning capabilities, underpinned by Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Tableau, and Anaplan. Your role will be pivotal in overseeing the technical journey and leading Finance Data strategy post-transformation, fostering a data-centric culture across stakeholders to translate data capabilities into valuable insights and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Navigate and influence the technical roadmap of a large-scale data transformation project.
  2. Secure cooperation from technical teams to deliver robust raw data.
  3. Design and enforce data governance protocols to ensure data quality and a unified source of truth.
  4. Lead data strategy for the Consumer Finance team.
  5. Inspire a data-led approach, sparking curiosity among diverse stakeholders.
  6. Apply commercial acumen to shape metrics and reporting aligned with business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  1. Proven experience leading complex data transformation initiatives in a commercial finance setting.
  2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire a data-focused mindset.
  3. A deep understanding of instilling a data-led culture within a corporate environment.
  4. Ability to influence technical teams to improve data quality and availability.
  5. Commercial acumen to interpret data insights for financial impact.
  6. An ambitious, resilient attitude suited to a fast-paced, agile environment.
  7. Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Tableau.

Preferred Qualifications

We would also love you to have:

  1. An accountancy qualification or relevant finance experience.
  2. Experience in subscription, digital, telco, or tech industries.
  3. Expertise in Anaplan.
