Job summary

DEKRA UK is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to lead the UK finance function from a hybrid Southampton base. You will drive monthly reporting, planning and commercial insight while partnering with senior leaders to support profitability and growth.

As a fully qualified accountant, you will oversee audits, manage intercompany reporting, and champion process improvements with a hands-on leadership style. A Car Allowance is included in the package.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Strong SAP knowledge and multi-entity reporting experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team with timely reporting.
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, journals and reconciliations.
• Ensure group reporting and intercompany deadlines are met.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and support planning.
• Serve as a finance business partner to P&L owners with commercial insight.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure statutory accounts are filed on time.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and governance.
