Senior Finance Business Planning Consultant - Remote role - £74,000 (from June 25) + Bonus (up to 20%) + Benefits

Twenty years ago, the founder of the David Tolson Partnership wanted to build a consultancy that would provide high-quality advice and solutions to organizations making a social impact, and be the leading housing consultancy across the UK. Now known as DTP, the organization is thriving and entering its next stage of growth and development. We are seeking a new Senior Consultant to specialize in financial business planning and other finance-related services, including regulation of the Regulator of Social Housing’s Rent Standard, with knowledge of setting social housing rents and service charges.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work autonomously with well-established clients across the UK, while developing new relationships. Supported by a long-standing, well-established, and supportive team, no two days will be the same.

We are looking for an individual with the drive to help take the organization to the next level, considering future developments in legislation and technology within the social housing sector.

Job Purpose:

• Provide consultancy services as part of a team of professional advisors, mainly within the social housing sector.
• Possess high-level experience in social housing finance, especially in financial business plan modeling and setting rents and service charges.
• Work independently to secure and deliver client projects, liaising directly with clients, with support from colleagues for technical advice and quality assurance.
• Act as a key member of DTP’s Core Team, supporting the development and delivery of the business strategy and contributing to organizational objectives.

Person Specification:

• Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement and high-quality customer service.
• Flexible working arrangements, capable of working independently and in teams.
• Advanced IT literacy, especially in financial and business applications.
• Excellent financial, technical, and problem-solving skills, with expertise in social housing finance, including modeling and rent setting.
• Committed to personal and professional development.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA).
• Proficient in BRIXX and knowledgeable about regulatory requirements related to rents and service charges.
