Job summary

Morson are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join the UK Ministry of Defence on a 12-month contract. This role will support financial planning and business performance across a complex organisation, providing accurate financial information and insight to support decision-making.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and lead business partnering teams to ensure budgets, forecasts and resources are managed effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in finance business partnering within a complex organisation.
• Experience overseeing budgets, forecasts, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Proven ability to manage and develop finance teams and coordinate workloads.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting resource planning and allocation.
• Ability to review business cases and apply appropriate financial governance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, collaborative approach to improving financial performance and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial processes, systems and procedures are followed to maintain data quality and consistency.
• Lead and manage the capacity and deployment of business partner managers and their teams.
• Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of budgets, forecasts, procurement plans, reports and variance analysis.
• Ensure financial deliverables meet agreed deadlines and business planning cycles.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Support and lead resource balancing activities to ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
• Contribute to and review business cases, providing financial scrutiny and insight.
• Ensure budgets and funding are configured correctly and supported by appropriate governance.
• Maintain high standards across environment, safety, health, security and quality.
• Work collaboratively with Finance colleagues and wider business teams to support performance and delivery.
