Job Description:

Elevation Senior Finance is partnering with a market-leading engineering business to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner.

Located in Barnsley with hybrid working, the main purpose of this role is to collaborate with the commercial team, focusing on monthly reporting, analysis, and business partnering support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review key financial data for commercial projects
  • Summarise information from multiple sites, providing key performance metrics to non-financial managers
  • Support Regional Commercial Directors in business growth through bid and tendering support
  • Assist Regional Commercial Managers during external audits of the contract portfolio
  • Manage internal controls, processes, and procedures within finance and commercial teams
  • Act as a Contract Accounting SME and influence system development
  • Support analysis related to M&A activities
  • Produce management accounts to support budgets and forecasts
  • Build relationships with budget holders, providing influence and challenge
  • Ensure accurate contract working capital reporting, including weekly forecasts and debtors aging
  • Challenge cash positions with the commercial teams
  • Develop relationships with other key stakeholders across the business
