Job Opportunity: Tax Manager

Sewell Wallis is currently partnering with an impressive Sheffield-based professional services firm to appoint a Tax Manager. This South Yorkshire business is renowned for employee retention, talent nurturing, and personal development opportunities.

The Tax Manager will join a two-person team handling both Corporate and Personal tax. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and be responsible for monitoring compliance work, reporting directly to the Partners.

As the role develops, with increased client contact, there is scope for involvement in wider tax planning and advisory services.

Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of personal, partnership, and trust returns, managing approximately 350 personal tax returns from data collection to filing and billing.
  2. Communicating with clients regarding liabilities and liaising with HMRC as needed.
  3. Collaborating with the accounts department on corporate tax computations and financial reporting, seeking client approval before filing returns.
  4. Managing P11D benefits reporting and filing.
Required Skills
  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualification preferred; candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in both Corporate and Personal Tax.
  • Excellent customer service and advisory skills with positive communication at all levels.
