As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for driving financial performance and providing strategic financial support to business divisions. This role involves partnering with business leaders to develop and execute financial plans, analyse financial performance, and deliver insights that influence decision-making.

What you'll be doing

Financial Analysis

  • Support wider annual budgets process and lead on this for your business area
  • Working with FP&A to provide inputs to forecasting, and long-term financial plans
  • Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting key trends and variances
Strategic Partnering
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business unit leaders, providing financial insights and guidance.
  • Support strategic initiatives by developing financial models and performing scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial and operational performance
Performance Management
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead financial reviews with business leaders, facilitating discussions on financial performance and strategic priorities
Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies and business plans as needed.
Leadership & Development
  • Manage and mentor your supporting FBP Analyst, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  • Provide training and support to business unit leaders on financial concepts and tools
  • Lead cross-functional projects, driving collaboration and alignment across the business
Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline reporting and provide deeper insights.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a finance business partner capacity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Expertise in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills
  • Proven experience working with large-scale datasets and leveraging business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and similar platforms
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive planning)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to think long-term and develop actionable plans and insights that align with the company's strategic objective
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Deep understanding of the business and industry, with the ability to translate complex financial data & concepts into actionable business insights & takeaways
  • Dedication to ethical behaviour and maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity
  • Experience in a fast-paced tech or start-up environment preferable - demonstrating a strong bias for action and a hands-on approach across broad scope of responsibilities.
