Job Description

The Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing insightful financial analysis to shape the financial strategy of the regional area that they are accountable for, ensuring maintenance of profitability and risk.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00

  • Partnering with the Business Director to drive the financial strategy of the area in scope, including short to mid-term scenario planning and cost and revenue improvement initiatives.
  • Track financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to drive change and provide strategic support.
  • Leverage AI and other data tools to drive and contribute to efficiencies in weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Lead customer tenders from presentation to internal stakeholders to negotiation with the customer.
  • Provide an investment appraisal to the Directors to advise on the financial viability of projects.
  • Weekly update to the Head of Finance on depot performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Manage a small team of Finance Business Partners, responsible for growth and development.
  • Assist the Finance Business Partners with Budget and forecast delivery to senior stakeholders.
  • Assist FP&A Manager with weekly and monthly commentary to the board.
  • Accountable for the overall financial accuracy of their sites.
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant with experience of managing commercial activities and FP&A exposure is essential.
  • Experience in using AI to leverage efficiencies.
  • Highly numerate and literate.
  • Efficient and can offer flexibility to meet various competing deadlines.
  • Accurate with good attention to detail.
  • Tenacious: focused on delivery and closure.
  • Good communicator, both within the local team and the wider group.
