Senior Finance Business Partner
Cambridge

The role of Senior Finance Business Partner is an integral part of the commercial finance department and reports directly into the Head of Commercial Finance. Interested applicants must have a proven track record of working at this level and be able to excel in the following areas:

Responsibilities include:

1. Be the first point of call to senior leaders across key business departments for financial and strategic insight.
2. Ensure leaders are showing cost discipline by challenging thoughts and decisions in a constructive manner with a holistic perspective.
3. Build relationships to develop a deep understanding of the business and the drivers of financial performance.
4. Provide transparent and actionable budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy.
5. Deliver accurate, insightful and timely financial reports to senior stakeholders.
6. Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making and optimise business performance.
7. Monitor key performance indicators, identifying risks and opportunities and proactively recommending corrective actions.
8. Support ROI analysis and scenario modelling.
9. Enhance FP&A processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

The Wish List:

1. Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
2. A technically strong skill set subsequently enhanced with strong business partnering capabilities. Able to support non-finance, operational and commercial staff alike.
3. Consistent track record of working at this level for a medium to large commercial business and ideally with Private Equity backing.
4. Advanced ERP and Excel knowledge.
5. Driven to exceed expectations and tackle an ever-evolving remit.
6. Within a 1-hour commute of Cambridge.
