Job description

Hayward Hawk is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our financial services client for a Senior Finance Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role offers opportunities for growth and plays an important part in our client's continued success. It is a hybrid role.

What you'll do:

1. Monitor bank accounts regularly to verify successful transactions and liaise with banking partners to resolve any discrepancies.
2. Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC as required.
3. Conduct due diligence, including identity verification and risk assessments, for new clients in compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.
4. Ensure ongoing compliance of the fund and associated entities with investment mandates and legal obligations.
5. Communicate clearly and promptly with clients and external professionals to support the effective management of the fund and its related entities.
6. Open and administer bank accounts for the fund and associated companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
7. Oversee the proper handling of funds in accordance with the fund's governing documents and regulatory requirements.
8. Process fund transfers in a timely manner, particularly for investments, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements.

What you'll need:

• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in relevant software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• High standards of organisation and planning skills.
• Fund administration experience is preferable.
