Senior Finance Analyst RTR - Controlling

Grade: RCS L

Contract Type: 12-month FTC
Location: Bristol (BS35 4DF) Or Bellshill (ML4 3NW)
Hybrid working - 3 days at site

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst RTR to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform accounting processes in scope for a range of sites, customers or functions as directed like month end, reconciliations (i.e. Payroll Recs, Revenue BS Rec, etc.), fixed assets accounting etc.
  • Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
  • Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
  • Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope
  • Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production
  • Participate in process improvement workshops and activity
  • Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
  • Support change programmes
  • Ensure all standard accounting processes on and off system are followed identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the Reporting Manager
  • Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
  • Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements - strong month end experience essential
  • 2-3 Years experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry would be a preference
  • Experience of using Oracle Cloud would be a preference
  • Effective time management skills
  • Clear, effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Flexible and resilient
