Job summary

Allwyn UK in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to support the Retail Senior Finance Business Partner by delivering reporting and analysis to shape commercial and operational performance.

You will turn complex data into clear outputs, develop KPI insights, support shop profitability models and budget cycles, and challenge performance with rigorous scenario analysis and business case support.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/CIMA/ACA credentials and strong numeracy.
• Ability to analyse, model and interpret large datasets.
• Excellent communication of financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness with ability to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analytical support for Retail Senior Finance Business Partner (Retail Projects, Retail performance, Trends Analysis, Benefit Tracking).
• Turn complex commercial and operational data into simplified outputs.
• Identify trend analysis to support performance narratives.
• Support understanding key risks & opportunities with supporting insight and analysis.
• Support all shop profitability analysis including building a shop profitability model.
• Weekly/Monthly performance packs for the RLT.
• Help support an enhanced KPI framework.
• Develop reporting suite to track initiatives and post implementation reviews.
• Scenario analysis as required for new initiatives.
• Business case support for key investment levers.
• Proactively drive improvements to current reporting framework.
• Budget & Reforecast support at pivotal times throughout the year, specifically Scratchcards.
• Analytical support on Scratchcard performance.

A bit about the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to support the Retail Senior Finance Business Partner in understanding Retail performance and providing invaluable reporting and analysis to help shape commercial & operational performance

What you’ll be doing

What experience we’re looking for

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, including large data sets
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to articulate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations
• Experience in a similar Commercial/Retail Finance role preferred
• Advanced MS Excel skills, data manipulation and financial modelling
• Self-starter with a keen attention to detail and independent thinking
