Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Third-Party Transportation Finance team in the EU. This role is critical in supporting our carrier operations and program management. The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic problem solver with excellent analytical skills, capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

About the role:
This is a hybrid role that will own consolidation and insights for our team which is responsible for the financial plan, as well as business partnering in emerging destination countries. The candidate will be responsible for driving the consolidation of planning and reporting cycles and well as working with tech teams as we continue our journey to standardise and automate our tools and processes. You will also support the country transportation strategy in key export destinations and co-own delivery of the Cost Out roadmap.

This role will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including FP&A, Stores Finance, Controllership, Technology, Supply Chain and other transportation teams to drive commercial decisions and build multi-billion dollar financial plans. This position will suit someone with great technical skills who is looking to broaden their experience in a business partnering role.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Drive weekly, monthly and quarterly financial mechanisms to support 3P Transportation business goals
  2. Lead management reporting activities and analytics, developing actionable recommendations for carrier operations and program optimization
  3. Business Partnering with Operations to influence decision-making in emerging destination markets
  4. Deliver data-driven insights to support transportation strategy and cost optimization decisions, leveraging industry benchmarks and internal metrics
  5. Identify and implement cost-saving measures through the 3P Cost Out roadmap and risk mitigation strategies
  6. Communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders across EU Operations
  7. Drive continuous improvement and standardization of transportation finance processes, including automation initiatives with S&A tech teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in a finance role leading a project or programme and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business
  • Relevant experience working with Excel, reporting tools and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau
  • Relevant experience in financial modelling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, Mathematics, or Economics
  • Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges
  • Experience of working in a large team or fast-paced, corporate environment
  • Experience of making strategic business decisions and manage internal relationships
