LOCATION

This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This is a 6 month FTC position, supporting and challenging the business to continue delivering profitable growth.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - R&D and Marketing, you will manage the Group's Marketing A&CP, business partnering the CMO and Group Marketing team, alongside supporting the Senior Finance Manager on delivering the budgets for the R&D pipeline. You will be heavily involved in shaping the Marketing A&CP strategy for the Group function, as well as providing direction for the commercials of our products through the Stage Gate process.

The role will have high exposure to Senior Leadership and presents opportunities to demonstrate commercial acumen to aid decision making on the R&D pipeline and Global A&CP expenditure.

Another aspect of the role is to support the Senior Finance Manager in delivering the financials for the Middle East Market.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ownership of Global Marketing spend, business partnering the CMO and the Global Marketing team, providing insightful analysis on marketing expenditure across Group and the Markets, ensuring that funds are being deployed effectively
  • Build the Group Marketing budgets, co-presenting the budgets with the CMO for approval, monitoring actuals vs forecast, and challenging budget owners on expenditure to ensure an accurate landing vs budget
  • Ownership of Stage Gate financials, presenting the analysis in Stage Gate meetings
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager in tracking R&D project spend, providing insightful commentary to R&D business partners on actuals vs forecast
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager in building the long-range forecast at product level
  • Perform month-end activities across Marketing, R&D Projects and the Middle East Market
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager on any ad-hoc analysis for the Middle East to help deliver the commercial strategy for the Market
  • Provide month-end reporting to the business
  • Provide periodic P&L training to the Group Marketing team

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, fully CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and with a minimum of 5 years finance experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment with ability to prioritise effectively
  • Able to work at pace with a high degree of accuracy
  • Advanced excel skills, experience of working with consolidation systems an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely

Desirable:

  • TM1, Microsoft Dynamics, and Power BI experience
  • Experience in retail or luxury consumer goods industry
